Production Description

Keep the interior of your packaging sleek and simple with custom wet press molded pulp inserts. These inserts are lightweight and custom formed to your products and packaging for a comfortable fit.

  • Pulping: Raw materials are put into a beater with water and turn into slurry. It is white and
    viscous.
  • Forming: The pulp will be conveyed to the forming machine, and formed into the desired
    shape.
  • Thermoforming: Put them into a high-temperature and high-pressure environment to shape them.
  • Trimming: When the formed dry product is trimmed or stamped by the machine accordingly.

Q: How do you ensure quality and service?

Difongreen has a documented quality management system that includes daily detailed production logs that are reviewed after each shift. Any issues are discussed and remedied as quickly as possible. In addition, every piece is individually handled and inspected before being packaged for shipment.

Q: Can we get a sample made and how fast?

Most items can be designed and quoted within one or two weeks. Once the quote has been approved, the sample item can be produced within a few weeks. After final testing and final approval, duplicate production tools require an additional 2-3 weeks. Timing may vary based on the complexity and requirements necessary for a successful package.

Q: What designs are possible with molded pulp?

Most products are more complicated dimensionally than a simple cube. Molded pulp can be designed with deep cavities and fairly complex geometry, to protect a product’s most fragile angles and protrusions. We are only limited to the imagination of our customers.
